Obituary of Daryl V. Stephens

Daryl V. Stephens of Yuba City died unexpectedly February 7, 2014 surrounded by family Daryl had been a resident of Yuba City since 1971 and was owner of Stephens Automotive for 28 years. He was an active member of Peach Bowl Lions and was their current President. Daryl also belonged to American Legion and was a former part time instructor at Yuba College. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Born and raised in Colusa, he graduated from Colusa High School in 1967. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Bernadine Stephens. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Grace of 45 years; daughters, Sabrina of Yuba City, Camella Sitz (Randal) of Prosper, Texas; and grandchildren: Wyatt, Weston, Bethany, Luke, Selah and Avalon Sitz. He will be dearly missed by his siblings: Bernerd Stephens (Sharon) of Freedom, CA, Marlene Sheldon (the late James) of Sacramento, and Nicolaus Stephens (Rhynda) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephew. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Services will be Friday, February 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel, with Military honors from the United States Army, with Pastor Jim Clark, officiating, Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the lions Club, American Legion or any Veterans organization, or to a charity of your choice.
