Obituary of Etta Mae Howard

Etta Mae Howard, 97, passed away May 15, 2022. She was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma, on October 4, 1924, to Alley and Alice Hayes She married the love of her life, James Howard, on August 20, 1945. Jim and Mae met at a carnival when he was stationed at Camp Beale. They married after 6 weeks of courtship and lived happily for 61 years until Jim's passing. They traveled extensively in their motor home, square dancing along the way. Jim and Mae were members of several square dancing clubs. Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; and daughter, Mary Etta. She is survived by her son, Darrell Howard (Lana); and daughter, Daretta Wilson; 9 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
