Obituary of Erminia "Liz' Weddle-Post

Erminia "Liz" Weddle-Post, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2022, at the wonderful age of 91, surrounded by her children. She was born in Westwood, CA, on January 16, 1931, to Juan and Lupe Rivera. Liz was the youngest of six children. She was raised in Westwood until the sixth grade then she moved with her mom and brother to Marysville, CA. While going to school she made her mark as an excellent student through grammar school, high school, and Yuba College. While at Yuba College she met Bob Weddle who she later married on March 7, 1950. Bob was in the Air Force and assigned to Roswell, New Mexico, to start a new adventure. At the end of his service career, they returned to California to raise a family, and to be a part of the Newhall Land and Farming Organization. Through those years Liz accomplished many jobs: working as a Bookkeeper for Beale's furniture store, and for Davis Machine shop in Meridian. Liz also pursued a career to become a Bilingual Teacher for Marysville school district. One of her last adventures was being a Travel Agent. Liz had several hobbies that she enjoyed over the years which included: playing the piano, playing tennis, knitting, garden, painting, golfing, watching horse racing and watching Olympic track and field. She loved traveling with her friends here in the states and abroad. Liz's faith was important to her and was an active member of St. Isidore Church and various ministries. During her Golden Years she was lucky to marry Randy Post, a longtime family friend. They had many wonderful years of enjoying each other's company traveling and enjoying life. She is survived by her children, Gail Womack (Dave), Karen Weddle, Kevin Weddle (Debi); as well as four grandchildren; two step grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
