Obituary of Georgann Lacey

February 14, 1942 - September 20, 2022 Georgie was born in 1942, in Placerville, CA, the second of two children, to George and Vesta Ruoff. It was in Placerville, where she met the love of her life and husband of 51 years, Walter Lacey. Walter's career at PG&E brought them to Yuba City in 1978, where they made their home and raised their two daughters, Kelly and Brookelynn. Georgie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was passionate about travel and adventures with family and friends. Georgie and Walt were fortunate to travel the globe, experiencing new and exotic cultures. She loved cooking, always trying out new recipes, reading and art, but most of all, being a grandmother to Lauren and Sam. Even at 80, Georgie remained active in several charities, her morning coffee group, and painting circles, even winning numerous awards for her art at local fairs. Georgie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Georgie is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lacey; daughter, Leslie Lacey; father, George Ruoff; mother, Vesta Ruoff; and sister, Roxanne Sacket. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Danna (Steve), and Brookelynn Lacey; grandchildren, Lauren Danna, and Samuel Danna. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022, 1:00 PM, at Peach Tree Golf and Country Club in Marysville, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of choice.
