Obituary of Barbara Ann Speckert

Barbara Ann Speckert (Bobbi), 80, passed away peacefully in her home in Live Oak, California on August 11, 2022. Born June 15, 1942, to Willis and Lola Horn in Concord, California. Bobbi is survived by husband, Otto Speckert of Live Oak, CA, two children, Scott Speckert of Yuba City, CA and Kraig Speckert (Tawna), grandchildren, Audrey and Erik Speckert of Franklin, TN and sister Martha Wetstien of Arizona, and Willis Horn Jr. of Marysville, CA. She was preceded in death by sister Dorthey Boone of Live Oak, CA and her brother Jack Horn of Nevada. Bobbi was a lifelong resident of Yuba and Sutter County. She attended Marysville High School, graduating in 1960 and attended Yuba College. In October of 1964 she and Otto Speckert were wed and spent the next 58 years together. By 1982 she and husband Otto joined Peach Tree Golf Club and for the next 32 years, she played there and across Northern California. She and her sister Dorthey Boone enjoyed decorating Peach Tree for the holidays and other club events. Her talents transformed the club into a unique experience for members and visitors alike. Bobbi was a talented cook, devoted friend and had an affinity for decorating her home for the holidays, Easter and Christmas were her two of her favorites. Bobbi loved traveling, crafting and decorating. Her infectious smile and natural charm were always on display and will be missed by all that knew her. Per Bobbi's request, services will be private. There will be a celebration of this wonderful life at Marcello's Restaurant (1235 Bridge St., Yuba City, CA 95991) on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
