Obituary of Charles Dobyns

CHARLES DOBYNS OBITUARY 9/27/1936 - 12/17/2022 Al went to heaven to be with the Lord, and all his family that have gone before him, in the early morning hours of December 17, 2022, following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving children and he peacefully passed away in his home of more than 50 years. Al was the youngest child of his parents, Marion (Pa), and Lula (Ma) Dobyns. Al devoted his life to his family. He was a hard worker and avid outdoorsman. He loved camping, fishing and hunting. He was a very strong swimmer and enjoyed spending time with family at our favorite place, Oregon Creek. Born in Oklahoma, he was a country boy and was taught skills to live off the land. Al was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deloris A. Dobyns; his parents, Pa and Ma Dobyns; sisters, Ruby Dobyns, Viola Osborne, Marie Hudson, and Francis Pucheu; and a brother, Marion Dobyns Jr. Al's passing marks the end of a generation. Al is survived by his sons, Gary, Robert, Ronny, William Montero, Michael Ray and John Young; a daughter, Gay Dobyns-Lee; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St, Yuba City, CA. Viewing will be January 9, 2023, from 4pm-7pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held January 10, 2023, at 11:00am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Cemetery, 4900 Olive Ave, Olivehurst, CA. Reception will follow at the America Legion Hall, 5477 Feather River Blvd., Linda, CA.
