Obituary of Ofelia Partida Gonzales

Ofelia Partida Gonzales, of Yuba City, CA, passed away December 5, 2022. She was born in Sonora, Mexico, on September 10, l940. Ofelia graduated from Yuba City High School in 1958. She worked for the Sutter County Housing Authority for 27 years and retired in 2001. Though she spent most her life in Yuba City, she also enjoyed several years living in San Francisco and Nicaragua. Ofelia will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She shared her love of family, food, and dancing with all who knew her, and we will carry the echo of her laughter in our hearts forever. We are all happy she is at peace and resting with angels. Ofelia is survived by her three children, Benjamin Vargas, Cindy Vargas, Gustavo Vargas; grandchildren, Jasmine Lizama Annoh, Anthony Lizama, Bianca Barron Benavidez, Ruby Barron, Jaden Vargas, Tristan Vargas, Amelia Vargas, and Anya Vargas; siblings, Rachel Sanchez, Alberto Partida, Augustine Partida, Nancy Partida, Fernando Partida, Tangie Partida, Angel Partida, Alicia Partida, Liliana Partida, and Sofia Partida; three step-children, and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Norberto Partida; mother, Elisa Partida; brother, Raul Almaguer; and husband of 33 years, Benny Gonzalez. Ofelia will be buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Dixon, CA. The date is yet to be determined, in Spring 2023. Arrangements were made under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
