Obituary of Sharon Holmes

June 20, 1948 - December 2, 2022 Sharon was born in Yuba City, CA to Jessie Ray and Evelyn Rogers on June 20, 1948, she entered into heaven on December 2, 2022. During her life she moved around a lot living in various cities in California, she settled into Biggs, CA for the majority of life. She then moved to Yuba City for the past couple years to be closer for her daughter, Shelly, to care for her. She had a love for the outdoors and traveling around with her husband Dan, gardening with her beloved Grandmother and later continuing that passion for herself and her family. She had a passion for always trying to make everything neat, organized and making everything look beautiful. She loved getting together with her Mom and going to the casino was a favorite pastime of hers too, she especially enjoyed playing Keno. She had a few favorite TV shows she loved watching which include The Young & The Restless and Heartland. She enjoyed listening to country music as her favorite song was "Amarillo By Morning" by George Straight. Sharon was a fun, loving, genuine and compassionate woman, and always looked out for others and helped with anything she could. She had a huge love for all of her family and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible. She always did her best to make sure everyone was fed as she loved very much to cook. Sharon spent the majority of her career as a waitress working in both Oroville and Gridley. She is proceeded in death by her husband Dan Mills also of Biggs CA, her father Jessie Rogers, her mother Evelyn Rogers, and her brother Gary Rogers. Sharon is survived by her 3 children, her daughter Shelly Mullin (Jason Mullin), her sons Christopher Carr (Marisa Carr) and James Holmes. 8 grandchildren, her brothers Daryl Rogers (Gail Rogers), Jimmy Rogers (Judy) and Carol Wood (Gary Wood). Sharon will greatly be missed by everyone that loved her, and she will be remembered by always having a beautiful smile on her face. Please join us for services on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Ullreys in Yuba City from 9am-11am, followed by graveside services at Gridley Cemetery and a celebration of life at Cornerstone Church in Yuba City. Donations of flowers can be taken to Ullrey's in Yuba City prior to or on Friday, January 20, 2023. Mama, I loved you for your whole life, and I will miss you for the rest of mine.
