Obituary of Evelyn Misquez
Evelyn Misquez, of Yuba City, California, passed away on December 2, 2022, at Emerald Oaks Assisted Living in Yuba City. She was born in Asher, Oklahoma, on April 8, 1929.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Misquez, Jr.; her parents, Enson and Eva Farmer; and eight siblings.
She is survived by her youngest sister, Sue Silvestro; her children, Rick Misquez of Yuba City, Karen Grove (Richard) of Yuba City and Randy Misquez (Laura) of Natomas. Evelyn's pride and joy was being blessed by her eight grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring. She and Julian were members of the Good Sam's RV Club and the Moose Lodge Campers Club, where they loved their many RV trips with their many friends.
Evelyn enjoyed numerous hobbies which include; gardening, painting, crocheting, sewing and challenging her great grandchildren in a game of Yahtzee. She also enjoyed hosting many holiday gatherings with her family over the years. Her smile and laughter always seemed to brighten up the room in which she was in. She often spoke of pride about her children, especially of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter, California.
