Obituary of Martha Beeso

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Beeso, who passed from this world on November 25, 2022, at the age of 88. Martha was a long-time resident of Yuba City where she lived with her husband Harold for over 30 years. Martha spent her early childhood and teen years in Eureka, California. She attended Scripps College in Claremont, California, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Martha married Jerome Withrow in 1956, and the couple went on to have four children, one of whom sadly passed while still an infant. After her first marriage ended Martha fell in love with and married Harold Beeso. The couple brought their combined six children to the marriage and together formed a loving extended family. Martha loved books and reading. She spent many hours volunteering at the Sutter County Library and browsing the stacks for her next great read. Martha was a grateful, dedicated friend of Bill W. Martha was predeceased by her parents, Ira Hodge and Allene Mitchell; stepfather, Sam Mitchell; son, Jerome Withrow; brother, Ira Hodge; grandson, Jason Bretz; and husband, Harold Beeso. She is survived by her children: Kristen Dorman of Yuba City, Michelle Rankin of Yuba City, Skiff Withrow of Eagle Point, Oregon, Rick Beeso of Tracy, Robert Beeso of Yuba City, and Ruth Greco of Sacramento; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services for Martha will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Trinity Anglican Church, 929 11th Street, Marysville.
