Obituary of Bernell Antonie Barmore
Bernell Antoine Barmore, of Yuba City, CA, passed away January 20, 2023.
He was born March 16, 1993, in Los Angeles, CA, to Ladell Cherrice Brown and Bernard Barmore, Sr. As a little boy he was affectionally given the nickname "Brown Man," by his aunt, Artavia Brown, he was known by that name up until his passing. At the age of four he joined the Manchester Park little league T-Ball team, and then went on to play Football, and basketball. He loved sports.
Bernell attended Woodcrest Elementary school, and Henry Clay Middle School in Los Angeles. He graduated from both schools. In 2007, His family moved to Yuba City, CA, where he attended Yuba City High School, and graduated with his class of 2011. He was a multi- sport athlete in football as a wide receiver, track and field in hurdles, baseball, and he played basketball. He was named Athlete of the Year.
He attended Butte College, and later transferred to Midland University in Nebraska after receiving a scholarship in football and track and field. He cherished his many trophies, medals, and awards during his career in all his athletic accomplishments.
Bernell was full of life with a big smile to go with it. He had joy of heart and loved everybody he met. There was nothing he would not do for you. He had special relationships, with his niece Harley Mae Payton who he adored, his best friend Bryce Peterson who met each other when they were toddlers, also his relationship with the greatest father figure William "Poppa Tazz," Whittaker. He loved his family; we loved him more.
Bernell was proceeded in death by his grandparents, John C. and Bobbie Barmore; his uncle, Lonnie Barmore; and his aunt, Stephanie Brown.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory to his devoted family: mother, Ladell C. Brown; siblings, Brittany Payton, and Jaiden Riley; his grandfather, Will L. Brown; grandmother, Vera M. Brown; father, Bernard Barmore Sr.; brother, Bernard Barmore Jr.; sisters, Brittanie, Karlagh, Tonisha Barmore, Casey Banks, and Jasmin Barmore Parker; aunts, Artavia Brown, Tanesha Brown, Gloria Chappell, Gale Nickson, Senurs "Sin" Mixon, and Loretta "Mz Redd" Miles; uncles, Jamal A. Gregory, and Will L. Brown Jr.; also, a host of uncles; aunts; cousins; nieces; nephews; and friends.
Service will be Saturday, February 25, 2023, 1pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, Yuba City, followed by a reception at Yuba City High School multi-purpose room.
