Obituary of William Danik
William "Bill" Danik passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, in Yuba City, CA. He was 91. Bill was born on May 14, 1932, and grew up in Freeport, PA. Shortly after graduating from Freeport High School, he joined the United States Air Force where he eventually earned the rank of Master Sergeant. He was proud to be a jet engine mechanic for the SR-71 and served at MacDill AFB, FL; Bunker Hill AFB, IN; Edwards AFB, CA; Kadena AFB, Okinawa, Japan; Clark AFB, Philippines; and Beale AFB, CA. While stationed at MacDill AFB, Bill met his wife, Kay, while roller skating, and they lived most of their married life at their home in Yuba City, CA. They were married for 66 years at the time of her death in 2019. He loved being a Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of the Nicolaus Masonic Lodge in Wheatland, CA, serving as Master there for one year, and a member of the Scottish Rite. He also thoroughly enjoyed activities with the Bedouins RV Club and the Drum and Glock Corps associated with the Ben Ali Shrine in Sacramento. Bill's other hobbies included duck hunting, fishing, boating, tinkering in his garage, and gardening. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Romaine Kay Danik; parents, Wendel and Alice Danik; brother, Frederick Danik; and grandson, Christopher Studards. He is survived by his sister, Dr. Judy Danik in Monroeville, PA; daughter, Judy Studards and her husband, Steve in Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Barbara Franz and her husband, Randy in Ritzville, WA; granddaughter, Andrea Flores and her husband, Xavier in Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter-in-law, Tina Studards in Casper, WY; granddaughter, Amber Slate and her fiancé, Zach Young in Tacoma, WA; granddaughter, Michelle Rogers and her husband, Raimond in Olympia, WA; and great-granddaughters, Sophia Studards and Paisley Studards in Casper, WY. As per his request, there will not be a service. A private interment will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
