Obituary of Kenneth Garrett Sr.

Kenneth "Corky" Garrett Sr., was born in Norman, OK, March 8, 1933, and passed at the age of 90, June 13, 2023. Corky was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margret; sister, Jo Ross; and brother, Jay. He is survived by his sister, Jackie Garrett of Santa Rosa.
Corky was married to Joyce Garrett (Buster) who passed away in 2003. Corky is survived by his children, Pamela Garrett, Ken Garrett (Kelly), Stephanie Wood (Mark), Bryan Garrett (Rosalena) and Randy Garrett (Michelle). He is also survived by 18 grand and great-grandchildren. "There is no substitute for hard work." At times with 10 souls in a 1100 sq. ft. home he held 3 jobs to make ends meet. He retired after 33 years as a service repairman with Sears Robuck and Co. His work ethic is his legacy, and his dedication was not lost on his children which we strive to match. He was a rock for the challenges faced by his children and family in the good times and bad. Always there to lend support with all he had. He enjoyed the pursuits of his grandchildren, be it entertainment, sports, academics or service. They made him proud. Your story is incomplete, but you'll always be in our hearts. Rest in peace.
