Obituary of Alfred Empey

Alfred Dale Empey, 91, of Yuba City, California, passed away peacefully, in Yuba City, on July 30, 2023, after a long illness. Alfred was born on June 16, 1932, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Ammon High School and Utah State University. He worked for the USDA as a Warehouse Examinar for over 30 years. He later worked for rice warehouses in the Sacramento Valley. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Oren and Vera Empey; his stepmother, Emily Empey; and a son, Danny. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kay; his children, Lynn (Scott) Brown, Jay (Vicki) Empey, Lisa (Wes) Hall, Allison (Ron) Kelly, Ty (Nancy) Empey; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 10:00am in the Sutter Cemetery.
