Obituary of Sharon (Scotten) Laird

Sharon (Scotten) Laird, 84, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on July 4, 2023. She was born on June 11, 1939. Sharon was an outgoing person who made friends easily. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her son-in-law, Robert Buckland; her granddaughter, Michelle Edwards; her grandsons, Michael Buckland and Todd Buckland; and her great-grandchildren, Emeleah, Ella, and Audrey. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Eileen Graham; her father, Virgil Ray Scotten; and her daughter, Gayle Buckland. Sharon had a long and fulfilling career as a bookkeeper in the Yuba-Sutter area. She was known for her dedication and attention to detail in her work. In her free time, Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, taking road trips in her motorhome, and trying her luck at the casinos. A graveside service will be held at Sutter Cemetery on August 14, 2023, at 10:30 am to honor Sharon's life. Contributions can be made in Sharon's memory to the Susan G Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
