Obituary of Hal Burk

Born August 10, 1932, Hal Burk went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 2, 2023. Hal was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. After high school, Hal Joined the United States Army, where he proudly served in the Korean war in 1952. When Hal left the military with rank of Sergeant first class he pursued a dream of his and opened The Cloverleaf Meat Market. In 1963 He met and married the love of his life Alice Burk. Aside from his wife and family his greatest devotion was golf. After retirement, Hal spent most of his time at Plumas Lake GCC, where he and Alice were members for many years. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marysville. Hal was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Alice, and his daughter Cheryl Burk. He is survived by; daughters, Lee Audrey Stubbs of Lompoc, Cynthia Simmons of Illinois; his grandchildren Rachael and Matthew; his great granddaughter Hazel; his sister-in-law Eva Hill and several nieces and nephews whom he admired and loved very much. A Memorial service is scheduled for August 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Marysville United Methodist Church, 730 D Street, Marysville. Contributions in his name can be made to the church. Private interment will be at Sutter Cemetery.
