Obituary of Denise Lynn James (Duncan)

Denise Lynn Duncan James, 70, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on September 1, 2023, with her family by her side in Yuba City, CA. Denise was born on November 29, 1952, to Denver and Doris Duncan. They lived in Hallwood, CA, where they worked a family farm. Denise attended and graduated from Marysville High School. In 1969, Denise married Robert Ochipinti and started a family. Denise was the proud mother of Trisha and Brian Ochipinti while she also worked at Enloe Hospital as a Cardiology Technologist in Chico, CA. Her passions were her family, children, and grandchildren. Denise is preceded in death by her father, Denver Duncan; and mother, Doris Duncan. Denise is survived by her daughter, Trisha Henry and son-in-law Jerry; son, Brian Ochipinti and daughter-in-law Jennifer; her brother, David Duncan; 7 grandchildren, Carly Crandall, Emily and Connor Henry, Brayden, Michelle, Lauren and Kate Ochipinti. Denise was affectionately known to her grandkids as Grandma "DD", who will be forever in their hearts. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, September 11, 2023, at 11am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, preceded by 10am viewing at 817 Almond St., in Yuba City, by Pastor Greg Mansur of the Adventure Church in Yuba City. Graveside services will be conducted following the Memorial Service at the Sutter Cemetery.
