Obituary of Gordon Marvin Winter
Gordon Marvin Winter was born February 29, 1928 in Harvey, North Dakota, to Otto and Martha Winter. He graduated from Goodrich High School as valedictorian in 1946 and attended Minot Business College from 1948-1950. He worked for Union National Bank in Minot, North Dakota where he met Vera Anderson. They married in 1952 and moved to Sacramento, California. In Sacramento, Gordon was employed by General Motors Acceptance Corp. After 31 years, he took early retirement and became the Business Manager of Calvary Christian Center in Yuba City for 14 years. He is survived by his wife Vera and 3 children: Paula (Cliff), Connie (Barry) and Mike (Julie), 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Gordon was active in Jail Ministry, Rescue Mission, and Christian Assistance Network. He also taught Sunday School, a Young Married Couples Class, was a board member of Calvary Christian Center, sang in the choir, taught the New Membership Class and was a faithful volunteer. He was a loving husband and father. A graveside service will be Friday morning at Sutter Cemetery, September 15, 2023 at 10 am.
