Obituary of Enid Mary Rogers

Enid Mary Rogers, 88, of Yuba City, CA, died October 18, 2023, at Rideout Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in New Market, England, September 3, 1935, she was a Yuba Sutter resident of 62 years. She was a homemaker for much of her life and co-owner of the Ranch House Restaurant for 27 years along with her husband Clyde, until their retirement in 2003. Enid met the love of her life Clyde Rogers when he was stationed in New Market, England, with the Air Force. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage. Enid loved her family and was happiest, surrounded by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with a proper cup of tea. Survivors include her husband, Clyde Rogers of Yuba city; one daughter, Linda Charles of Yuba City; one sister, Doreen Forbes of Cambridge England; two grandsons, Christopher, and Jeremy Charles; one granddaughter, Amy Allsup; seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Maude Lucas of England and a sister, Sheila Stockton of Texas. Donations may be made to her favorite charity of over 40 years, St. Joseph's Indian School, 3900 S. Westport Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57106. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Sutter Cemetery with Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel, Yuba City.
