A long time resident of Yuba City, CA, passed away on December 4, 2023, surrounded by her family at the age of 93. After marrying her high school sweetheart and graduating Yuba City High in 1948, Tamara pursued a career in accounting. During the Korean War, she followed her husband overseas, serving in the Armed Services and living in Salzburg, Austria. After the war, one of her fist positions was working at All State Mining Company and CBS in San Francisco. She eventually started her own accounting practice while raising her family in the Bay Area and successfully took on many clients until her retirement in 1995. During retirement, she and her husband returned to Yuba City, CA, where she enjoyed helping coordinate and attend many Honker Class of '48 reunions with dear high school classmates. She was an avid bridge player, who enjoyed her weekly bridge matches with her bridge club friends. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout the world and she remained active by creating a lovely home, cooking delicious meals, entertaining, and gardening. She is survived by her daughters, Victoria and Kathryn (Tim;) and her husband of 74 years, Leland. She was a passionate, strong woman whose joyful, loving and straight forward approach to life will be missed dearly by her family and friends. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, December 11, 2023, from Noon - 3pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond Street, in Yuba City, with a reception to celebrate her life to follow.
